Mitchell Marks. Agree. As I said in the comments to the previous essay, this mostly seem to show that ‘left’ and ‘right’ are way past their use-by dates. The terms started around 1789 and lost much of their point after 1989/91. I fail to see what is ‘left’ about a social justice movement that rejects the notion of universal rights, consistently denigrates the working class and embraces counter enlightenment narratives of essential racial and ethnic natures.
